The University Grant Commission (UGC) has released the List of 24 Bogus Universities. There are eight universities in the national capital Delhi out of it.
In the notice released by the University Grant Commission, it has been said, “The students and the general public are hereby informed that at present there are 24 self-made and unrecognized educational institutions that are run by violating the UGC Act. These universities have been declared bogus and they do not have the right to issue any type of the degree.
Fake Universities of Delhi:
The eight declared bogus universities in Delhi by UDG are Commercial University, United Nation University, Vocational University, ADR Centric University, Indian Institution of Science and Engineering, Vishwakarma Open University for Self Employment, Adhyatmik VV, and Varshney Sanskrit University.
Universities in the Other Regions:
There are different places in the country where the bogus universities are running. In the state of Uttar Pradesh, one university each is found in Aligarh, Kanpur, Pratapgarh, Mathura, and two found in Allahabad city. In the same way, a few of them are located in Maharashtra, Orissa, Pondicherry, Karnataka, Kerala, and Bihar.
