Mahadevi Institute of Technology (MIT) was launched in the year 2006 by the MKP College Society with the mission to meet the socio-economic needs of imparting quality professional education to women as also to provide them opportunities for all round growth and personality development. As the first step in the process, MCA programmed duly approved by the All India council for Technical Education (AICTE) has commenced in MIT from the academic session 2006-2007 followed by MBA programme from the session 2008-2009. The Institute was conceived as a broad based Technology institute, exclusively for women, with the goal of introducing B.Tech in selected disciplines during subsequent years.
